“STANDING OVATION” for Fabio Armiliato and his RecitaL CanTANGO at Muscat ROH.
Opera and Tango united in an ideal embrace on the notes of the most beautiful melodies of Tito’s Songs of Tito Schipa and Carlos Gardel, to rediscover the roots of Italian belcanto in this magnificent musical genre, is the winning formula of the show brought on stage for the first time in Oman by Fabio Armiliato. A true master of the evening, Armiliato dominated the evening with ease, thanks to his extraordinary and expressive vocality and his strong interpretative ability.
The musical accompaniment was entrusted to the genius of the arrangements of m.o Fabrizio Mocata, true wizard of the keyboard, and it was performed by five musicians, champions of the Tango: Simone Tolomeo, Nico Perrone, Alex Musatov, Alessio Menegolli and Sergio Zanforlin. Ana Karina Rossi’s delightful “Alma del Tango” literally took the audience by the hand in a journey back in time with grace and elegance, involving them in the musical world of Tango and in its irresistible rhythms. The choreographies of the talented Los Guardiola, with their humor and their sympathy, integrated by the class and the skill of the Labiano-Hernanez duo, made the evening truly unforgettable, unleashing, together with Armiliato’s voice and singing, the endless applause during the show of an enthusiastic audience, culminating with the final Standing Ovation for all the protagonists. An elegant and flowing show that has managed to combine, to the pleasure of listening, even a cultural and educational message of great class.
A truly memorable evening, made even more special by the beautiful background and architecture of the Royal Opera House in Muscat.

Opera e Tango uniti in un abbraccio ideale sulle note delle più belle melodie delle Canzoni del Tango di Tito Schipa e Carlos Gardel, per riscoprire le radici del belcanto italiano in questo magnifico genere musicale, è la formula vincente dello spettacolo portato in scena per la prima volta in Oman da Fabio Armiliato. Vero mattatore della serata, Armiliato ha dominato con disinvoltura la serata grazie alla sua straordinaria ed espressiva vocalitá e alla sua forte capacità interpretativa. L’accompagnamento musicale era affidato alla genialità degli arrangiamenti del m.o Fabrizio Mocata, vero mago della tastiera, ed era eseguito da cinque musicisti, fuoriclasse del Tango: Simone Tolomeo, Nico Perrone, Alex Musatov, Alessio Menegolli e Sergio Zanforlin. La deliziosa “Alma del Tango” di Ana Karina Rossi ha letteralmente preso per mano il pubblico in un viaggio indietro nel tempo con grazia e eleganza, coinvolgendolo nel mondo musicale del Tango e dei suoi ritmi irresistibili. Le coreografie dei bravissimi Los Guardiola, con il lori umorismo e la loro simpatia, integrata dalla classe e la bravura del duo Labiano-Hernanez, hanno reso la serata davvero indimenticabile, scatenando, insieme al canto di Armiliato, gli interminabili applausi a scena aperta di un pubblico entusiasta, culminati con la Standing Ovation finale per tutti i protagonisti. Uno spettacolo elegante e scorrevole che è riuscito a coniugare, al piacere dell’ascolto, anche un messaggio culturale e educativo di grande classe.
Una serata davvero memorabile, resa ancora più speciale dalla splendida cornice della Royal Opera House di Muscat.
